Strawberry Shortcake Dolls

First Issue Dolls


Use this picture is to determine which shoe goes with each doll.

First issue Strawberry Shortcake Dolls were each approximately five inches tall, and had jointed arms and legs. There were nine different dolls, and these dolls had started out with flat hands (instead of the curved hands of the newer dolls). Near the end of the first issue, the dolls began showing up with curved hands (to "play" with accessories).  These dolls did not come with a pet except for Apricot, Apple Dumplin', and the Purple Pieman.  Most of the time, you will see First Edition dolls with Flat hands, but you will also see First Edition Dolls with curved hands.

Second Issue Dolls with Pets

These Second Edition Strawberry Shortcake Dolls had curved hands and ALL came with a pet. Each doll was approximately five inches tall, and had jointed arms and legs. There were 19 different dolls all together.  Cafe Ole', Crepe Suzette, Lem N Ada, and Mint Tulip were made a little later than the others which is why they are harder to find and more expensive.

Party Pleasers - 5" Dolls with Pets
 

This set of dolls were called Strawberry Shortcake Party Pleasers. They were dressed for a party in frillier dresses and the pets had  a party hat, present, or party blower. There were 10 different party dolls made.
